Born: 1933 Kolkata Acadamic Qualification:  He obtainrd his education in painting from the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta. Postgraduation from Central School ao Art and Design, Londan, and Hertfordshire College of Art, St. Alban's England. He taught art at Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design, Londan from 1977 - 1998. Amal Ghosh was Senior Lecturer, Art in the Community, Froebel College, Surrey University, England and Visiting Professor at the Government College af Art and Crafts, Calcutta. He also visiting Professor at Visva - Bharati, Santiniketan from 1999 - 2000. Exhibition:  Birla Academy of Fine Art, Calcutta & Konstkallarian Gallery, Arvika, Sweden, both in 1981.
